Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

How about Walt Disney World in Florida? Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is modeled after the city of Saratoga Springs, New York. It is a charming Victorian style resort nestled between golf course greens and Village Lake and has an equestrian theme throughout.

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is a Disney Vacation Club resort but is open to the public as long as there is availability. The resort has studio units with kitchenettes and one bedroom and two bedroom condos with full kitchens. There are also 3 bedroom 2-story villas. Part of the resort is the Tree-house Villas. They are 3 bedroom units built 10 feet off the ground and overlook beautiful woodlands.

As DVC members, we have stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and the 3 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs. The resort is very large. Disney provides bus and watercraft transportation, but having your own vehicle is a plus.

The resort is considered a Disney Springs (formally Downtown Disney) resort. There is convenient water transportation to Disney Springs from a dock near the Turf Club Bar and Grill. You can also use a pedestrian walkway from Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs, or bus transportation.

Cooling Off At Saratoga Springs

There are 5 pools at the resort – 4 in Saratoga Springs and 1 at the tree-house villas. The main pool at Saratoga Springs, High Rock Spring Pool has waterfalls, zero-depth entry and a 128-foot-long slide built into the rocks. There are 2 whirlpool spas and a kids splash area.

The resort provides many other activities such as arcades, basketball, bike rentals, community hall activities, campfires, yoga, playgrounds, pool tables, tennis, golf, and movies under the stars. You will certainly not be bored! I think the campfires are especially fun. Songs and s’mores – what could be better?

Dining At Saratoga Springs

Staying at Saratoga Springs gives you many dining options. Visit the Turf Club Bar and Grill for a drink and a game of pool or eat in a racetrack clubhouse themed restaurant.

Other options at Saratoga Springs include quick service at the Backstretch Pool Bar, the Paddock Grill or On The Rocks Pool Bar. You can have pizza delivered to your room from Disney Resorts Pizza Delivery or grab a sandwich at Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe on the golf course.

The conveniently located Artist’s Palette offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and many grocery items. If you can’t find what you want on the property, take a boat ride to Disney Springs where you will find over 60 dining options!

Our One-Bedroom Villa

A one-bedroom villa sleeps 4, although there were just 2 of us. We usually stay in a one-bedroom because it has a full kitchen and laundry. A studio unit has a kitchenette and laundry available at several locations at the resort.

When we stay at a Disney resort, we are not always going to Disney parks. We take advantage of the activities and relaxation at the resort. We usually cook breakfast and one other meal and eat out for the other meal. The full kitchen is a real perk for us.

A Photo Tour Of The Villa

The entrance has a large foyer with a decorative mirror.

The kitchen, dining room and living room are one large open space.

You have everything you need in the fully stocked kitchen – just add food! There is a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee pot, blender, toaster, plate settings and silverware, glassware, pots and pans and more! There are a dining table and seating, plus there is a bar area with seating.

The living room has a large TV in a cabinet and includes a DVD player. The drawers in the cabinet can be used for clothing storage if using the living room couch bed.

A couch in the living room makes a queen bed. Everything is nicely decorated and follows the equestrian theme.

Here’s my favorite area – the laundry 🙂 I actually like doing laundry and try to keep everything clean so we take home clean clothes.

The bedroom is spacious and so comfortable. It has a king-size bed, desk, nightstand, large TV, chair and a great view. The bedding is soft and comfortable.

The bathroom is large with a room with the shower and a sink and a connecting room with a whirlpool tub and sink. There is a separate toilet room.
