St. Kitts Fairview Great House
Saint Kitts, also known more formally as Saint Christopher Island, is an island in the West Indies. The west side of the island borders the Caribbean Sea, and the eastern coast faces the Atlantic Ocean. Saint Kitts and the neighboring island of Nevis constitute one country: The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Olivees Mountain is the 3rd highest peak in St. Kitts. Nestled at the foot of Olivees Mountain is one of St. Kitts’ most unique attractions. This 18th century Great House has been authentically restored to its former glory with careful attention to historical detail.
Built over 300 years ago, Fairview Great House & Botanical Garden is a prime example of Colonial architecture built almost completely from wood. Once the residence of a French military commander, the house functioned as a hotel during the 1960s and was finally restored to its former glory in 2008.
Great House rooms are furnished in an authentic colonial style. In the historical information room, you can learn more about previous owners of the property, life on the island in colonial times, and the process undertaken to fully restore this historic gem.
Living Areas Of The Great House
Step back in time as you wander through the dining room with its 16-seat mahogany dinner table and antique silver service.
Each room is painted in vibrant colors. The master bedroom has a veranda where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, South-East Peninsula, and St. Kitts’ sister island of Nevis.
Head down to the cobblestone courtyard where you will see the original kitchen building with its volcanic stone and brick oven, the original bathing room with its large sun warmed volcanic stone bath, and the stone cellar where the gift shop is located offering local pottery, art, and other unique gifts.
The Grounds At Fairview
The house is set on over two acres of botanical gardens. The garden features an apiary, cobblestone central courtyard, a private chapel where you can go rum tasting, and a restaurant.
Fairview is also available for weddings, conferences, and private events/parties.
