We are travel junkies and Disney fans. Makes sense that we are planning a fall trip to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in Florida. We will get the best of both worlds – Disney class accommodations and service while staying on the beach!

Beach Vacation
We have invited our two children, their spouses, their children, and my mother-in-law – for a total of 10 people. We will be staying in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa. It is 2 levels, with a kitchen, dining room, and living room. There is a front porch and also decks facing the beach on both levels! I am super excited and will have to write a post after going. 🙂
The resort offers a lot to do for all ages. There is a Mickey-shaped pool with a spiral-shaped 2 story slide, water play area, hot tubs, age-appropriate clubs for age 4 – 19, family sing-along campfires, miniature golf, a spa, games, shuffleboard, fishing, and of course Florida’s Treasure Coast of the Atlantic Ocean and more!
Can you tell I am a Disney Vero Beach fan?? It is a great vacation spot and we often spend a night or two there before a Disney cruise out of Port Canaveral.

Dreaming Of A Beach Vacation? Take The Stress Out Of Packing by Using A Detailed Checklist. Don't forget any essentials. No stress packing. #Beach #BeachVacation #BeachPacking #PackingList Share on XPacking List
I am a super list-orientated person (maybe to the chagrin of my kids). I have created a very detailed packing list. And, I am working on a detailed meal schedule 🙂 We plan to do a lot of cooking in the villa (our frugal side 🙂 ).
Meals for 10 people could be very pricey if we tried to eat out all the time. Plus, since the villa has a full kitchen, it makes sense to use it.
My detailed packing list is available on Etsy. It is a 5-page downloadable PDF list. I also include a blank list, with categories only if you want to customize it.
I have included clothing items, toiletries, things for the beach, entertainment and fun items, things for your accommodations, personal items, and for the trip. It makes packing so less stressful because it has details and a place to check things off as you pack.
Also, if you have fur babies that will be left at home, I have a FREE Pet-sitter Instruction PDF. It is also very detailed and will make leaving your pet in someone else’s care a little easier.
Suggestions
Here are some suggestions from Amazon for getting ready for your beach trip. They are things you might not think about:
Beach Umbrella – We can rent these at Vero, but if you are traveling by car and can take your own, you can save the rental fee. The sun can get a little brutal and an umbrella can make a world of difference in the heat factor.
Dry Bag – This is really needed when playing in or near the water 🙂 Plus, if your beach spot in is Florida, it makes you prepared for the inevitable afternoon shower.
Â
Light Jacket – Even at the beach, the evenings can get a little chilly.
Sun Hat – I am usually not much of a hat person, but a hat for everyone is a good idea so that you don’t get overheated.
Pop-Up Hamper – We usually stay in accommodations that have a washer and dryer, but even so, having a hamper is really handy to cut down on dirty clothes everywhere 🙂
Collapsible Cooler – Staying hydrated at the beach is very important. When you head to the sand, take water, juices, soda, and snacks in a cooler that can be folded up when you leave.
