Disney Vero Beach Resort
We love Disney Vero Beach Resort (DVB) and have traveled there almost every year for the past 15 years. There have been several changes over the years, some caused by Mother Nature and some “just because” 😀

Recently, we rented a Beach Cottage for an extended-family vacation week. I’ll post about how to survive that sometime soon 😀 This was the first time we needed the 3 bedroom accommodations and we thoroughly loved it. We have stayed in the Inn rooms, a studio setup, and a one bedroom. All of the rooms are great! Just depends on your needs.
We usually stay for a week and cook many of our meals, so a kitchen is usually a necessity. The Inn rooms and studio rooms have a small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and microwave, but the one bedroom and above have a fully stocked kitchen.
This area of the Florida Treasure Coast is so beautiful! DVB is away from the hustle and bustle but convenient to shopping and dining.
OK – time to let some pictures do the talking…

This is the 3 bedroom – 3 bath cottage we stayed in. The resort has 6 beach-side cottages.
This shows the spiral water slide, the pirate ship splash area, part of the play area, part of the golf course and a Mickey in the fence 😎
Ocean view from our upper back deck. The cottages have 4 decks – upper back, lower level back, front porch and front upper deck.
Swinging on the front porch.
Uncle Banjo playing on the Inn back porch. He is a friend we made over 15 years ago and a staple at the resort.
The resort offers video game consoles and games which can provide hours of out-of-the-sun fun!
Sunrise! Spectacular!
Posing for a picture from our deck 😀 Beautiful sand and ocean. You can even find pink shells.
Decorating a lanyard in the kid’s craft time.
Play some “magical” cornhole games outside the sunroom at the main building.
I bet they had a great view!
One of the activity rooms has several games printed on the tables and you just get the playing pieces and you are set to go. They are Disney themed games. This is a Disney Vacation Club version of Monopoly.
More sunrise on the beach!
The recreation cast members teaching us origami. There is an activity for everyone!
The beach all set up for the day. The building in the back is the main building with the lobby, restaurant, sunroom, Inn rooms, spa and more.
We are Disney Vacation Club members and this is one of our home resorts.
Making a shark tooth necklace craft.
Miniature golf, shuffleboard and bicycle rentals.
Disney helps to protect the Loggerhead Sea Turtle by checking daily for nesting and activity. Nests are roped off and signs are posted to not disrupt the nests. Windows on the beach side of the resort are tinted to limit light from inside since moonlight leads the hatched turtles to the ocean. No exterior lights face the beach. The beachfront also has tall vegetation to limit the effect on the turtles.

Campfire sing-along. Super fun for all ages, plus you get unlimited s’mores! (The cast members were having trouble getting a good fire going).
Nighttime swimming. You can also see the gazebo where there is a pool table, the shop where you can get food and drink and part of the Wind and Waves Bar area.
Treasure hunt just for the younger crowd at the splash pad area.
Another craft in progress.
A room off the lobby with tot-sized chairs and continuous cartoons.
I had to include this picture – see the Mickey cloud?
Pool time!
From the lobby or back porch, you can go to the Green Cabin room for drinks, food, and fun. Or to watch your favorite sports! This is from the outside seating area. It was a little overcast, but what a view!
This is a sunroom which used to be part of the original restaurant. Guests can now use the room to visit, chill, watch TV or watch people playing cornhole outside.
Sunset sky. Wow!
The Family!
These are just some of the things you can do at Disney Vero Beach Resort. There is also fishing, tennis, and more! I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list (and I don’t get anything for saying that!).
