Scrabble Game
The Scrabble word game is one of the few board games I like. I am just not a board game person. We have a couple of grown children and three grandchildren, so we have several games in the house.
Turns out, we had at least three Scrabble game sets so I decided to make good use of the tiles in one.
You can also purchase tiles on eBay or Amazon.

Scrabble Tile Crafts
There are many Scrabble tile crafts you can make. You are only limited by your imagination.
I made a couple of different crafts. One craft is two family name wall art pictures.
I used a frame and added scrapbook paper to the cardboard insert. It is secured with mod podge and another coat of mod podge on the front of the paper. Using some grid paper, I arranged all the tiles to get them the way I wanted them. I again used mod podge to secure the tiles to the paper. The flower was made from a coordinating paper and the background paper. I drew a simple petal design and cut several of each paper. To secure the petals, I stapled them together. Then glued a circle over the staple.
The stars were wood accents I had from another project. I stained them and glued with mod podge. The last thing was a final coat of mod podge over the entire front.
This is the second tile name art I made with the same process. This one includes our dogs 🙂
Scrabble Tree Ornaments
The other Scrabble tile craft I decided to try is making Christmas tree ornaments.
These are made from a paint stick I cut into smaller sections or Popsicle sticks. I added some paint or stain, stickers and wood accents. The back has little rings attached with glue. The hangers are waxed string, raffia, and wire.
I glued the tiles with mod podge and covered the final product with mod podge.

This Scrabble dishwasher magnet is simple enough to make yourself by gluing Scrabble tiles onto a self-adhesive magnetic sheet. (Found at AuntNubbysKitchen.blogspot.com)
Making use of spare items is a good decluttering activity. The actual board from the game can also be used for crafting. #ScrabbleTileCrafts Share on XSome other ideas from my blog:
